Hello Mr. Goodman, my name is Alejandro Quesada Acosta and native of Costa Rica and I live in Brussels, Belgium since 1992. I just wanted to tell you how wonderful, interesting and helpful your explanation about how to adjust focus in a modified D70. I am preparing for going into astrophotography and it is quite hard to get the right information and choose the best possibilities for doing so in a not so expensive way. I am a cello player, or at least I did a big part of my life and years in about 6 universities in CR, USA and here in Belgium. I have 2 Nikon D70 and one D7000 that I want to convert full-spectrum kipping the latest one for "normal" photography and it is quite a challenge but I am very confident that I will arrive andenjoy it. It has been long to find the correct information mainly about getting the correct glass to replace the protection/filter of the cameras, yet I have not found the specific thickness of the originals neither of the replacement ones to avoid the problem of not being able to get infinity focus, etc, etc. It would be extremely helpful if you have an idea about it. In any case I found extremely useful what you wrote and I wanted to thank you in my name as well as other lost soles in that type of research. Yours, Alejandro Quesada Acosta alejandroquesada64@hotmail.com
